We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will play a key role in financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory management, and operational analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing accounting background, experience leading team members, and the ability to leverage financial data to support business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Manage general ledger accounting activities and support accurate financial reporting
- Review and analyze general ledger transactions, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
- Prepare account reconciliations and supporting work papers for financial statements
- Generate financial and operational reports for management
- Analyze business transactions, costs, revenues, and trends to support decision-making
- Support month-end close processes, including inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets
- Partner with operations and accounting teams to improve processes and efficiencies
- Assist with inventory management initiatives and cost accounting activities
- Support sales tax reporting and compliance requirements
- Develop and maintain weekly KPI reporting for Accounting and Operations
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices
- Provide leadership, guidance, and cross-functional support to accounting team members
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
- 3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
- Strong inventory accounting and inventory management experience preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Macros, and complex data analysis
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Opportunity to work directly with the Controller and senior leadership team
- High visibility role with exposure to both financial and operational decision-making
