Accounting Manager

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position will play a key role in financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory management, and operational analysis.

The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing accounting background, experience leading team members, and the ability to leverage financial data to support business decisions and drive continuous improvement.

• Manage general ledger accounting activities and support accurate financial reporting
• Review and analyze general ledger transactions, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective actions
• Prepare account reconciliations and supporting work papers for financial statements
• Generate financial and operational reports for management
• Analyze business transactions, costs, revenues, and trends to support decision-making
• Support month-end close processes, including inventory, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed assets
• Partner with operations and accounting teams to improve processes and efficiencies
• Assist with inventory management initiatives and cost accounting activities
• Support sales tax reporting and compliance requirements
• Develop and maintain weekly KPI reporting for Accounting and Operations
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting best practices
• Provide leadership, guidance, and cross-functional support to accounting team members

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing
• 3+ years of leadership, supervisory, or management experience
• Strong inventory accounting and inventory management experience preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Macros, and complex data analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
