THE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the Plant Manager, the Cost Accountant will play an important role in supporting Rempac’s manufacturing operations by providing accurate costing information, meaningful financial analysis, and greater visibility into the true costs of production. Working closely with plant leadership, production, engineering, purchasing, and other operational teams, this individual will help ensure costing information accurately reflects what is happening on the production floor and provides leadership with reliable information to support business decisions.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced manufacturing cost accounting professional who is naturally curious, analytical, and willing to dig into the details behind the numbers. The successful candidate will take ownership of product costing, inventory valuation, variance analysis, bills of materials, and cost reporting while identifying opportunities to strengthen costing processes, improve accuracy, and provide greater insight into manufacturing performance.
This role is not about simply maintaining existing costing information. Rempac is looking for someone who will ask questions, challenge assumptions, investigate discrepancies, and work collaboratively with operations to understand the factors driving costs. The successful candidate will be comfortable spending time on the production floor, understanding how products are manufactured, and translating operational activity into accurate and meaningful financial information.
Success in this role will come from developing a strong understanding of Rempac’s products and manufacturing processes, building trusted relationships across the organization, and becoming a valued financial partner to the plant. The successful candidate will combine strong technical cost accounting knowledge with an operational mindset and a genuine desire to understand how and why costs are incurred.
