LHH is assisting a client with their need for a Project Accounting Coordinator. This is a direct hire position in Charlotte, NC. This role will focus primarily on project billing in a construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record customer invoices, payments, and revenue transactions accurately.
- Investigate account discrepancies and work with customers and field teams to resolve outstanding issues.
- Manage collections efforts on overdue accounts and follow up with customers regarding payment status.
- Monitor outstanding purchase orders and communicate with customers to obtain necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate billing records and tracking logs on a daily and weekly basis.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding invoices, charges, and account balances.
- Assist with monthly revenue forecasting and project financial updates.
- Prepare and distribute accounts receivable and collections reports.
- Coordinate repair and service-related communications between customers and internal teams.
- Provide timely administrative and operational support to field personnel.
- Assist with estimating material requirements and maintaining inventory levels for commonly used supplies.
- Process and support material and service sales requests from field crews and repair teams.
- Develop and maintain crew schedules, project timelines, and repair calendars.
- Partner with field operations to ensure projects are billed accurately and on schedule.
- Support special projects and other accounting or administrative initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of Project Accounting, Billing, Accounts Receivable, or related accounting experience.
- Construction industry experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to build positive working relationships with customers, project managers, and field personnel.
