Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: 100% On-site in the Sugar Creek area

Compensation: $50,000-$55,000/yr.

Position Summary

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented AP Specialist with 2-5 years of accounting experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with high-volume invoice processing, three-way matching, vendor management, payments, reconciliations, and strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs. This is a great opportunity for an AP professional looking to grow their accounting skill set and eventually advance into a Staff Accountant role.

Key Responsibilities

• Process, code, and review high-volume invoices for accuracy and timely payment.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and supporting documentation.
• Review and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Maintain vendor accounts and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Process payments and assist with payment runs.
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end close and other general accounting tasks.
• Utilize Excel and accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of Accounts Payable or related accounting experience.
• Experience with high-volume invoice processing and traditional AP functions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Accounting or Finance degree preferred but not required.
