Experienced Audit Associate, Nonprofit

• Perform a wide range of audit and accounting procedures impacting industry-specific issues
• Audit complex areas or transactions
• Prepare financial statements and related reports
• Schedule, delegate, and review the work of staff
• Supervise, train, and mentor staff
• Keep Manager or Principal informed of engagement status and issues
• Interact and communicate with clients to gather information and ensure timely engagement wrap-up
• Service nonprofit clients in North Carolina
• Build client relationships and provide close personal attention to client needs

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required
• Current CPA or eligibility to sit for the CPA exam is preferred
• 1 year of relevant experience in professional services required (completed internship(s) may qualify as related experience)
• Ability to travel to client sites, including infrequent overnight travel

Demonstrates expertise in audit and accounting procedures, with a strong focus on client relationship management and team leadership. Proficient in preparing financial statements and reports while ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards.
