Accounting Analyst; AR; Bangalore, India

Position Summary:

The Accounting Analyst (AR) supports the Sr. Accountant - AR & Revenue Lead by executing day-to-day accounts receivable activities for the North American region. This role maintains accurate customer and franchisee accounts, applies and reconciles cash receipts, follows up on outstanding balances, resolves routine payment and account issues, and prepares complete supporting documentation for close, audit, and reporting requirements. The Accounting Analyst works across Finance and business teams to improve the accuracy, timeliness, and reliability of receivables while delivering responsive service to franchisees, customers, and internal stakeholders.

• Accounts Receivable Execution:
  Manage assigned accounts receivable activities, including customer and franchisee account maintenance, collections follow-up, cash application, credits, refunds, and account reconciliations.
• Aging and Collections:
  Monitor assigned AR aging and proactively follow up on overdue balances, unapplied cash, customer credits, refunds, and collection issues; research routine discrepancies and elevate higher-risk or complex matters.
• Cash and Deposit Application:
  Record customer and franchise-related deposits in the accounting system, apply receipts accurately to the appropriate accounts and invoices, and maintain complete supporting documentation.
• Franchise Receivables:
  Support franchise-related billing and receivable activities, including processing and tracking franchise fees and other approved charges and payments.
• Reconciliations and Exceptions:
  Prepare customer and franchisee account reconciliations and supporting schedules; research payment variances, deductions, negative balances, and other exceptions for timely resolution or escalation.
• Close and Reporting Support:
  Complete assigned month-end and year-end close activities, including AR reconciliations, deposit schedules, aging reports, and related documentation for Sr. Accountant review.
• Stakeholder Service:
  Partner with franchisees, customers, and internal stakeholders to resolve billing, payment, and account questions while maintaining clear communication and professional working relationships.
• Controls and Audit Support:
  Maintain records in accordance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation standards, and respond to assigned audit requests accurately and on time.
• Process Improvement and Digital Fluency:
  Identify recurring issues and support process, system, automation, and AI-enabled improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen data quality, and improve AR and franchise receivable processes while protecting confidential information.
