As a new staff accountant at The Sharon at South Park, you will have a variety of responsibilities to support the finance department. You will be responsible for daily accounting operations including payroll processing, accounts payable, general ledger entries, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of accounting principles and a genuine interest in growing within the accounting field.

On a day-to-day basis, you will communicate with the finance department through phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings to staff payroll, accounts payable, general accounting and administrative support.

In this role, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential. You will also need to be highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, as well as have an aptitude for using and learning multiple software programs.

To be successful as a staff accountant at The Sharon at South Park, you should possess a combination of skills and knowledge. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are paramount as you will be engaging with residents and staff while building relationships. A customer-centric approach with superior phone skills and the ability to listen and understand department needs are also crucial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.

Familiarity with ADP software is a plus, as you will be managing staff payroll. Being a proactive and self-motivated individual will greatly benefit you in this role. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure is necessary. Excellent time management and organizational skills will allow you to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
