Director of Cash & Revenue Accounting

Carolina PRG is partnering with a large, publicly traded organization headquartered in Charlotte to identify a Director of Cash & Revenue Accounting.

This is a highly visible leadership role within the corporate accounting organization. The company is looking for a hands‑on leader who can oversee key areas of accounting, strengthen processes and controls, improve the close and reporting environment, and lead a team through continued growth and transformation.

• Lead and develop a corporate accounting team
• Oversee accounting activities across key areas including revenue, cash, accruals, reserves, and related balance sheet accounts
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and monthly, quarterly, and annual close deliverables
• Strengthen accounting processes, internal controls, documentation, and review procedures
• Lead efforts to address identified control deficiencies and build sustainable processes moving forward
• Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Audit, and other areas of the organization
• Support internal and external audit requirements
• Improve the timeliness, accuracy, and efficiency of close and financial reporting processes
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes
• Support continued improvements across the broader accounting function

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant leadership experience
• Public company accounting experience required
• Strong U.S. GAAP and SOX/ICFR expertise
• Demonstrated experience improving accounting processes and remediating control deficiencies
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on
