We are seeking an experienced Estate Planning Paralegal to join an established trusts and estates boutique law firm located in the South Park neighborhood of Charlotte, NC. This role offers flexibility, long‑term growth, and the opportunity to work alongside a seasoned team handling sophisticated and high‑net‑worth estate planning matters.
Candidates must have prior estate planning experience, ideally with exposure to complex structures, high‑net‑worth clients, gift tax preparation, and estate/trust administration
.
- Compensation for reduced hours will scale with the schedule
- Hours: Open to full‑time or reduced hours (20–40 hours/week)
- Must work at least 30 hours per week to qualify for benefits
- On‑site for first year
- Then eligible for one remote day per week
, and eventually up to two
- Support attorneys, accountants, trust administrators, and paralegals with complex estate planning and trust administration matters
- Prepare and review trust resolutions, annual accountings, estate tax returns, and gift tax returns
- Interview clients, gather facts, and maintain matter information
- Prepare and reconcile detailed accounting records
- Assist with the implementation and administration of sophisticated estate planning structures
- Minimum 2–3 years of Estate Planning experience
- Knowledge of trust and estate administration
- Ability to work independently once trained
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- High integrity and discretion with confidential information
- Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team
- Experience with gift tax preparation
- Bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Family office experience
$75,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
