MCSO Admin Support Asst (80) - Classifications

Hourly Range: $20.00

This is a non-exempt position. Pay rates are based on education, skill, experience level and internal equity. Internal equity considerations include an assessment of the applicant’s salary history and qualifications in comparison to the market rate and requirements for the job.

Position

Summary

The incumbent should possess practical computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office & Outlook, proficient knowledge of and experience in telephone etiquette, competent typing and data entry, ability to create detailed correspondence, and a general knowledge of report functions within databases. This is a very detail-oriented area of the Sheriff’s Office that operates at a fast pace. The most desirable candidate will be a team player, able to multi-task, and have excellent customer service and communication skills.

Essential

Functions
  • Receive incoming phone calls
  • Welcome visitors and guests
  • Research necessary information on the computer when needed by caller or client
  • Review inactive records via OMS record system
  • File active records and maintain files in alphabetical order
  • File all inactive records and maintain files
  • Assist Records Officers when there is a need to search for missing records
  • Prepare and box all inactive records for the current year to send to archives at the end of each year.
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent and at least one year of administrative experience
