The University of North Carolina at Charlotte is hiring a Temporary Financial Aid Assistant. The role involves managing various financial aid reports, supporting Pell and TEACH Grant programs, providing accurate information to students and families, and coordinating with other institutions to resolve discrepancies related to federal aid.
Highlights- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly financial aid reports including awarding, residency, enrollment, Federal Pell Grants, TEACH Grant, and Transient Study processing.
- Support Pell Grant and TEACH Grant programs with specialized duties.
- Provide timely information about financial aid policies to students, families, and visitors through meetings and outreach.
- Analyze and verify awarding and disbursement reports, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Coordinate with other institutions to resolve Pell MRRs and monitor the Transient Study Program.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
- High school diploma with one year related office experience or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience in higher education or student services, preferably financial aid, and knowledge of federal and state regulations preferred.
- Pay rate ranges from $16.00 to $20.60 per hour.
- Temporary part-time position with up to 40 hours per week, no leave or retirement benefits, but possible eligibility for a High-Deductible Health Plan.
