Overview
Sales Research & Intelligence Analyst (Public Sector) at Vector Fleet Solutions, part of the Amerit Fleet Solutions group. The role focuses on research, analysis, and sales intelligence—using data, business tools, and public information to help the public-sector sales team understand municipal and government fleet operations and identify high-potential sales opportunities. The ideal candidate synthesizes information into clear executive-level summaries to guide sales strategy.
This position works closely with Sales but is not customer-facing.
Location:
Charlotte, NC.
- Build detailed fleet intelligence profiles (fleet size, issues, outsourcing history, stakeholders).
- Research key stakeholders and points of contact.
- Prepare executive summaries and briefing documents.
- Support sales planning and opportunity identification.
- Maintain findings in reporting tools.
- Ingest and review reporting from a variety of sources, determine what data is relevant to the business, and prepare and present a consolidated view.
- Develop ongoing key performance metrics to drive efficiency and process improvement.
- Engage with client analysts and project managers to move the program/partnership forward.
- Use data to forecast capital and number of capital assets needed to sustain and grow the business.
- Drive and support existing account growth through project management, analytics, related tasks/projects, and implementation.
- Support a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Develop professional internal and external presentations with strong PowerPoint experience.
- Ingest and review data across systems to identify data quality issues and opportunities for automation between systems.
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop actionable performance metrics; collaborate with the Analytics team.
- Use data and reporting to develop a consolidated view for decision-making.
- Engage with sales and analytics to move initiatives forward and improve profitability and operational performance.
- 3+ years of experience in research, sales intelligence, or business analysis.
- Strong written communication and executive summary skills.
- Experience with Salesforce;
Zoom Info is a plus. - Experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI.
- Familiarity with public-sector data and procurement.
- Experience with AI tools for summarization and research (OpenAI/Azure OpenAI a plus).
- Fleet or government experience preferred.
