The Opportunity
This role will be responsible for building and managing a best‑in‑class debit card product experience to deliver on strategic business goals. Focus areas include maturing newly defined processes, managing change in a dynamic environment, and continuously analyzing how to improve the customer experience. Improvements will be measured across cost, efficiency, customer experience, and risk exposure. The candidate should be able to work effectively with vendors and external partners.
A successful candidate will understand the debit card and/or deposits business, have strong financial acumen, and be able to synthesize information and data to inform business decisions. A deep understanding of debit card product specifics, deposit operations, general analytics, and customer experience is required, along with knowledge of risk management practices, risk framework, and compliance appropriate for transactional deposit products.
In this role, you will operate in an in‑office setting with a hybrid schedule. Ally work locations:
Charlotte, NC or Fort Washington, PA. At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
- Responsible for developing innovative solutions using data, observations, and concepts to improve customer experience and deliver value
- Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver key product updates, including both digital and process‑driven updates
- Ensure business, technology, marketing, and analytics partners have a clear understanding of product value (economics) and business objectives
- Improve customer satisfaction and shape end‑to‑end customer experience for debit card ordering and usage
- Identify and align necessary resources to define, scope, prioritize and execute work
- Review monthly business performance, assess trends and opportunities, and develop forward looking outlook (expenses, account quality, customer growth)
- Work closely with vendors to manage performance, SLAs, contract dynamics, and overall relationship
The Skills You Bring
- 5+ years of deposits or debit experience with direct exposure to product management, P&L management, or debit card operations
- Strong partnership focus; proven ability to work with banking operations and information technology teams
- Customer‑centric focus prioritizing a premium customer experience
- Strategic thinking; ability to link disparate ideas to a coherent approach solving for business performance
- Detail oriented with ability to synthesize and present key action items and insights
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills; proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
