The Demand Leader will own and lead the demand management process for the North America Food business, serving as a key driver of forecast accuracy, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) discipline, and cross‑functional alignment. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining a rolling 36‑month demand forecast at the profit center, product hierarchy, and SKU levels, ensuring demand signals are unbiased, data‑driven, and actionable.
The Demand Leader plays a critical role in connecting commercial inputs (Sales, Marketing, Product Management) with Supply Chain and Finance, translating market intelligence into a robust demand plan that supports operating plans, financial forecasts, and service level commitments. This position also leads the advancement of Class A planning and control demand management processes and the evolution of forecasting tools and capabilities.
do we need you?
- Lead the demand management process for the North America Food business, owning a rolling 36‑month demand forecast across profit centers, product hierarchies, and SKUs
- Drive forecast accuracy and reduce bias through disciplined IBP practices, analytics, and continuous improvement
- Coordinate the monthly Demand Review process, aligning Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Finance on a single demand plan
- Translate market trends, promotional activity, and customer insights into actionable demand signals that support operating plans and financial forecasts
- Implement and manage weekly forecast versus actual tracking to enable short‑term adjustments and exception management
- Develop demand scenarios and support demand shaping decisions during supply constraints to balance service levels and inventory
- Serve as the process owner for demand planning, advancing Class A Planning and Control standards and improving forecasting tools and capabilities
- Lead and develop Demand Planning and VMI teams while influencing cross‑functional stakeholders and communicating risks, assumptions, and trade‑offs clearly
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or a quantitative/technical field (MBA preferred)
- 6+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Sales, or Marketing with a strong focus on supply and demand alignment
- Proven experience leading demand forecasting processes within an IBP or S&OP environment
- Experience with statistical forecasting tools and demand planning software
Experience designing, mapping, and improving end‑to‑end business processes - Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and Power Point
- Knowledge of food packaging products and customers is a plus
