DSJ Global is currently partnered with a Leader in the Materials Science space looking to bring on a Key Account Manager.
The Key Account Manager is responsible for driving sales performance, account strategy, and the successful execution of assigned objectives across designated strategic customers. This role partners closely with the Key Account Director to deliver sustainable growth, customer value, and strong commercial results, leveraging best in class Commercial Excellence practices.
What You Will Do- Build and deliver differentiated value for key customers by developing trusted, multi-level relationships across customer organizations
- Apply Commercial Excellence principles to improve sales effectiveness, pricing discipline, forecasting accuracy, and overall account performance
- Analyze, interpret, and present data to create compelling, insight-driven business cases aligned with organizational and customer objectives
- Own overall commercial execution for assigned accounts, including sales revenue, average value, pricing performance, and receivables, ensuring strong cross-functional alignment
- Execute direct sales activities such as pricing proposals, product recommendations, trial coordination, technical support, and service-related guidance as needed
- Identify customer needs, develop tailored solutions, articulate clear value propositions, and consistently close acquisition and expansion opportunities
- Lead and continuously improve pricing programs and commercial strategies for strategic accounts, ensuring portfolio alignment with customer needs and value delivery
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (sales operations, marketing, technical, supply chain, and finance) to effectively position products, solutions, and services
- Contribute to regional strategy development, business planning initiatives, and product development activities, with a focus on scalable, repeatable commercial processes
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, with a minimum of five years of sales management experience in the printing or packaging industry
- Strong background in Commercial Excellence, including pricing strategy, value-based selling, sales process optimization, pipeline management, and performance analytics
- Demonstrated success managing regional or national accounts across multiple locations in the U.S. and/or globally
- Proven ability to translate data, insights, and Commercial Excellence frameworks into actionable sales strategies that drive profitable growth
- High level of integrity, initiative, and the ability to build strong internal and external partnerships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse audiences
- Strong collaboration and influence skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Strategic, analytical, and innovative thinker with a track record of accelerating sales growth and improving commercial performance
- Proficiency with computerized order entry systems, Excel, and standard Microsoft Office applications
