Job Summary:

The Category Business Manager position on the Supplies, Equipment & Services (SES) team is an exciting opportunity to accelerate your career in Foodbuy. In this role you will work alongside Account Managers, Onboarding Managers, Supplier Base, and the Category Development Team aligning customer needs with commercial opportunities to maximize the value of Foodbuy programs for its members. There are plenty of new opportunities that we want you to be able to quickly uncover within a supportive, growth focused environment.

You will work closely with other team members and account managers to further develop your category and customer expertise to broaden your knowledge of the business. Success in this role will evolve from strong project management, an in-depth product knowledge of supplies, equipment and services used in housekeeping, public area, restaurant and kitchen operations, hands‑on commercial analysis, thoughtful relationship building with internal and external partners, and the ability to present your ideas to inspire action.

Provide excellent category support to both Account Managers and Foodbuy Members to drive volume to our preferred supplier programs.

Working with account managers, gain customer commitment to convert product purchases & services to Foodbuy’s supplier programs to achieve cost savings and margin improvements.

Jointly manage supplier base to provide best value and support for our Members.

Collaborate and assist the team’s efforts in resolving critical quality, service and delivery issues with suppliers. Act as Escalation point to resolve supplier performance issues.

Identify cost reduction opportunities for Foodbuy Members while increasing preferred supplier sales and Foodbuy revenue.

Work cross‑functionally to manage the implementation of new contracts or program changes.

⦁ 2+ years' experience in Supply chain, operations, or a category management role.

⦁ A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required; significant related sourcing, category or account management experience may be considered in lieu of education.

⦁ A proven record of accomplishment of delivering results while being self‑motivated in a dynamic environment.
