Position Overview

At International Used Truck Center (IUTC), the Truck Inventory Manager is the driving force behind a well-organized, high-performing truck inventory operation. This role is more than managing parking spaces — it’s about creating a lot that is safe, efficient, customer-ready, and built to support strong sales performance. As the central hub between sales, service, reconditioning, and transportation, the Lot Manager ensures every truck is accurately received, inspected, staged, and presented at its best.

From coordinating logistics to supporting customer walk-arounds, this position directly impacts the buying experience and overall dealership success. If you take pride in organization, thrive in a hands‑on environment, and enjoy working around heavy‑duty trucks, this is an opportunity to play a key role in a fast‑paced, team‑driven operation.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming used truck inventory, including condition reports and mileage verification.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and track truck locations within dealership systems.
  • Coordinate movement of trucks between sales, service, reconditioning, and detailing departments.
  • Organize and stage inventory to maximize visibility, accessibility, and sales appeal.
  • Ensure lot cleanliness, proper parking alignment, and overall presentation standards.
  • Prepare trucks for display and customer delivery (fueling, battery checks, light mechanical checks, and detailing coordination).
  • Manage secure key control and vehicle access procedures.
  • Support the sales team by locating units, preparing trucks for showings, and assisting with photos/videos for online listings.
  • Greet and assist customers on the lot as needed, providing basic product information and directing them to sales representatives.
  • Coordinate transportation logistics for incoming and outgoing units with carriers and brokers.
  • Safely operate and maneuver Class 6–8 trucks across the lot and between facilities.
  • Enforce safety standards, conduct routine lot inspections, and ensure compliance with company and environmental policies.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s degree and no experience
  • At least 2 years of technical truck/automotive experience
Additional Requirements
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status).
Desired Skills
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience operating heavy‑duty commercial trucks (Class 6–8 preferred).
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of commercial vehicles.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Customer service mindset with professional communication skills.
  • Familiarity with dealership management or inventory tracking systems.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically active duties.
