Construction Manager/ Foreman, Operations Manager
Location: Charlotte, NC (Local Candidates or Open to Relocation)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: Base salary starting around $100,000 + full benefits
Position OverviewA well‑known and highly regarded commercial glass and glazing contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial projects in the Charlotte, NC market and surrounding regions. This position is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day site execution, coordinating field teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience with commercial storefront, curtain wall, ACM panels, insulated panels (critical requirement), canopies, and railing systems
, and will be comfortable traveling to project sites as needed.
- Oversee daily field operations on commercial glass and glazing projects
- Coordinate in‑house crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries
- Enforce jobsite safety standards and company policies
- Review drawings, specifications, and installation details
- Partner with Project Managers on scheduling, manpower planning, and sequencing
- Conduct site walks, inspections, and progress meetings
- Identify and resolve field‑related installation and logistics issues
- Maintain quality control and adherence to project schedules
- Travel to project sites as required
- Proven experience as a Superintendent within commercial glass and glazing
- Strong experience with:
- Commercial storefront systems
- Curtain wall systems
- Insulated panels (required)
- Canopies
- Railing systems
- Experience managing projects from mobilization through closeout
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Willingness to travel as project needs require
- Must be located in Charlotte, NC or open to relocation
- Base salary starting around $100,000 (flexible based on experience)
