The Opportunity
Craft and Technical Solutions (CTS) is seeking motivated Project Engineers to join our operations team supporting large-scale construction projects across the country, including data centers, vehicle manufacturing facilities, industrial sites, and general construction builds
.
This role offers hands-on involvement in planning, coordinating, and managing onsite engineering activities from preconstruction through project completion
.
You’ll be an integral part of the project team, providing technical support, managing documentation, coordinating subcontractors, and helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. CTS partners with top construction firms nationwide, giving you exposure to high-profile projects and the opportunity to grow your career.
LocationProjects are located nationwide. Candidates must be willing to travel and/or relocate as required.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project operations and execution.
- Participate in construction planning, design interpretation, and constructability reviews.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Track schedules, budgets, material procurement, and cost control.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and project specifications.
- Support risk management efforts and represent the project in client and A/E meetings.
- Develop and implement project engineering procedures and work-controlling documents in construction software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent technical training).
- 3+ years of experience in construction or engineering roles; experience on large-scale or industrial projects preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and design documents.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
- Willingness to travel nationwide for long-term project assignments.
- Exposure to commercial, data center, industrial, automotive, or manufacturing construction projects.
- Knowledge of scheduling software, budgeting, cost control, and procurement processes.
- Field experience or internships on large-scale construction projects.
