Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for an Estimator based in Charlotte, NC. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, analyzing project requirements, evaluating materials and labor costs, and coordinating with project managers and subcontractors. Additional duties include reviewing blueprints and technical documents, maintaining vendor and supplier relationships, and contributing to project planning to ensure financial feasibility and cost efficiency.
Qualifications- Proficiency in cost estimation processes, including material take-offs and labor calculations
- Expertise in reviewing blueprints, technical documents, and project specifications
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in assessing project costs and budgets
- Experience with project planning, bidding proposals, and coordination with subcontractors
- Proficient in estimation software and tools, with strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for working with clients, vendors, and team members
- Familiarity with roadway, bridge, utility, or civil construction is highly desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience in a similar Estimator or construction management role
