Abernethy Contracting Site Manager
Abernethy Contracting is looking for an experienced, diligent, and team focused Site Manager. This position will work with a team of heavy civil construction professionals.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Total ownership of projects
- Attend project handoff meetings
- Mastery of Plans
- Fully comprehend scope of work, proposals, budgets, and client schedule/expectations
- Coordinate onsite Precon Meetings
- Drive communication
- Materials, Subcontractor and Vendor Management
- Release materials/schedule deliveries that maximize efficiency
- Communicate, schedule and coordinate subcontractor activities effectively
- Verify and schedule construction staking needs
- Validate accuracy for utilities/concrete scopes
- Jobsite Leadership
- Support field crews, secure emergency material, act as an intermediary with inspectors, etc.
- Review and coordinate corrective actions in response to erosion inspection reports
- Coordinate all required inspections and testing
- Work with superintendents to schedule crews
- Be present on-site during critical phases and activities
- Formulate RFIs in the field and submit through proper channels
- Document evidentiary information related to scope changes, CORs, etc.
- Master Progress Views
- Create and update progress plans
- Project Close Out
- Ensure client receives operating manuals and warranty documentation as required
- Manage internal/client punch lists required to complete job
- Job Walk Evaluation
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of sitework, including grading, paving and utilities.
- Five years of Site Manager experience.
- Direct experience working on active job sites.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Sense of urgency and ability to respond to changing situations.
- Unyielding commitment to safe work practices.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to use smartphone and iPad.
- Must pass a pre-employment background screening.
