Job Details

We need a Senior Estimator to join our Charlotte construction team. The role is permanent, full‑time, and focuses on winning commercial construction projects by providing accurate, competitive hard‑bid estimates.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment.

Use hard‑bid estimating expertise to deliver competitive and accurate bids.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand requirements and develop cost‑effective solutions.

Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine overall estimated costs.

Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure compliance with project specifications and budget.

Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits to gather accurate information.

Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for future estimates.

Provide technical support and guidance to junior estimating staff.

Participate in post‑bid reviews to learn from successful and unsuccessful bids.

Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction estimating, focusing on commercial projects.

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.

Proven expertise in hard‑bid estimating.

Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.

Proficiency in estimating software and relevant computer applications.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
