Job Details

We need a Senior Estimator to join our Charlotte construction team. The role is permanent, full‑time, and focuses on winning commercial construction projects by providing accurate, competitive hard‑bid estimates.

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial projects, covering labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Use hard‑bid estimating expertise to deliver competitive and accurate bids.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand requirements and develop cost‑effective solutions.
  • Review and analyze project plans and specifications to determine overall estimated costs.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure compliance with project specifications and budget.
  • Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits to gather accurate information.
  • Maintain and update a database of historical cost data for future estimates.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior estimating staff.
  • Participate in post‑bid reviews to learn from successful and unsuccessful bids.
  • Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction estimating, focusing on commercial projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven expertise in hard‑bid estimating.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and relevant computer applications.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
