Bridge Superintendent

A well-established heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Bridge Superintendent to lead field operations on transportation projects throughout the Charlotte area. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in box culverts and small to mid-sized bridge construction.

• Oversee day-to-day field operations on bridge and structures projects
• Manage crews, subcontractors, and equipment to maintain productivity and schedule
• Lead construction of box culverts, short-span bridges, and associated roadway structures
• Ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors
• Maintain project schedules, track progress, and resolve field issues proactively
• Enforce quality control standards and ensure all work meets design requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil or DOT projects
• Proven experience with box culverts and small-to-medium bridge construction
• Strong knowledge of sitework, foundations, formwork, rebar, and concrete placement
• Experience working with NCDOT or similar state DOT standards preferred
• Ability to lead crews and drive production in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
