HB NEXT is actively seeking a full-time Environmental Consultant / NPDES Inspector based in Charlotte, NC
, to support our expanding operations in the region. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working outdoors, values flexibility, and is passionate about environmental compliance in the construction industry.
Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia since 1999, HB NEXT provides innovative SWPPP, NPDES, and safety inspection solutions across the U.S. We partner with clients in residential and commercial construction to help them navigate and comply with complex OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
Using proprietary technology and a service-oriented approach, HB NEXT supports clients and their contractors through in-depth site inspections, custom compliance training, and consulting services tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct stormwater and NPDES inspections on construction sites
- Collaborate with site personnel to ensure compliance with environmental regulations
- Document findings and provide recommendations using HB NEXT’s proprietary software
- Travel to various job sites across the region
- National or NC Erosion Certification (or equivalent), Charlotte-Mecklenburg certification or the ability to obtain within 60 days (training available through HB NEXT)
- Prior construction or field inspection experience highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and a self-starter mindset
- Salary: $35,000 – $42,000 (commensurate with experience)
