HVAC Preconstruction Estimator
Salary: $60,000 - $130,000 per year

- Estimate mid‑to‑large commercial and institutional HVAC projects.
- Obtain equipment, material, and subcontractor buyouts.
- Work with superintendents and project managers to ensure bids are accurate.
- Ensure bids are submitted within required deadlines.
- Maintain a working knowledge of HVAC and construction standards.
- Read, understand and use provided plans and specifications to determine accurately estimated cost of jobs.
- Use company estimating tools to provide consistent estimates.
- Read all plans and specifications prior to bidding and create accurate cost estimates.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors.
- Bid jobs that come in at estimated costs correctly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering preferred, paired with a minimum of 3 to 5 years estimating large commercial HVAC jobs.
- Familiar with state building codes, OSHPD, ASHRAE standards.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
