- Complete other duties as required/assigned
- Gather and organize all necessary bid documents including civil plans, CAD files, and vendor or subcontractor quotations.
- Assist with identifying and quantifying cost factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and production time.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and support the estimating team in developing project estimates.
- Collaborate with engineers, clients, vendors, and internal staff to review estimates and resolve any questions or discrepancies.
- Utilize estimating software including Bid2
Win, Agtek Materials/Earthwork, and Microsoft Excel to prepare estimates and track project data. - Assist with compiling bid proposals and ensuring all required documentation is complete prior to submission.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bid documents, and cost data for future reference.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and project discussions as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Internship or entry-level experience in construction or estimating is a plus.
- Basic understanding of construction plans, specifications, and project documentation.
- Experience with or willingness to learn estimating software such as Bid2
Win, Agtek, and Excel. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
