Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in the preconstruction process by collaborating with Business Development, Project Management, and Field Operations to develop accurate estimates, schedules, and project plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to build lasting relationships with subcontractors and project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Business Development Lead, Preconstruction Manager, Project Managers, and Superintendents to develop comprehensive preconstruction plans, project estimates, and schedules.
• Organize, maintain, and distribute all preconstruction documentation, including drawings, specifications, schedules, addenda, clarifications, and other project-related information.
• Develop safety planning strategies and identify construction safety requirements during the preconstruction phase.
• Review subcontractor scopes of work and project sequencing to ensure complete and accurate bid proposals.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships within the subcontractor community to secure competitive pricing and adequate bid coverage.
• Review project drawings and specifications to verify all required scopes of work are included in pricing.
• Coordinate and conduct preconstruction site visits as necessary to ensure accurate project estimates.
• Perform detailed material take-offs and prepare accurate unit pricing for projects.
• Prepare and deliver organized, comprehensive estimate packages to Project Managers and Superintendents following project award.
• Communicate effectively with owners, architects, designers, tenants, subcontractors, and internal project teams throughout the preconstruction process.
• Assist in the timely resolution of conflicts and project-related issues to minimize delays and potential claims.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant construction experience.
• Experience in construction estimating, preconstruction, or commercial construction project coordination.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with Sage 100 is preferred.
• Experience with Bluebeam Revu is preferred.
