Overview
Electrical Superintendent – Evergreen Innovation Group, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking a professional with 5 or more years of commercial electrical construction experience to oversee the day‑to‑day scheduling and field coordination of electrical and low voltage system scopes on one or more projects.
Responsibilities- Supervisory responsibilities:
Foster the development of foremen and support their growth into future superintendents. - Pre‑construction and project support:
Review trade partner proposals, schedules, and logistics. - Installation oversight:
Manage the installation of electrical, HVAC, automation, plumbing, process piping, low voltage systems, and fire/life safety systems. - Design review:
Participate in review of electrical shop drawings and submittals. - Commissioning:
Assist in developing full commissioning plans, including test requirements, inspections, factory start‑up, acceptance testing, documentation, and integrated test plans. - Construction support:
Oversee start‑up, balancing, commissioning, and validation certification of systems, including owner training and project closeout. - Quality and safety:
Develop and oversee project‑specific electrical quality and safety programs, and participate in safety event cause mapping. - Scheduling:
Create construction schedules, perform updates, monitor logic relationships, and integrate new activities and impacts. - Logistics and relations:
Coordinate jobsite logistics, maintain relationships with neighboring occupants, negotiate with authorities, and achieve occupancy milestones. - Safety leadership:
Lead EIG/DPR’s injury‑free environment safety program. - Subcontractor coordination:
Schedule and resource‑load subcontractor work scopes in conjunction with DPR’s self‑perform crews. - Representation:
Professionally represent EIG field operations as the primary interface with owner and design teams.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong grasp of electrical construction concepts and applicable codes.
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders to resolve complex design and construction issues.
- Proficiency in conducting complex meetings, issuing minutes, and following up on deliverables.
- Knowledge of fire/life safety and sprinkler systems and their integration with mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
- Understanding of test and balance processes, building automation systems, and MEP sequences.
- Knowledge of electrical safety regulations and commitment to a culture of safety.
- Proficient in virtual design and construction software; experience with CPM scheduling and lean pull planning is preferred.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Bluebeam.
- Strong listening, communication, conflict resolution, and team‑building skills.
- Can‑do attitude and strong work ethic.
5+ years as an Electrical Superintendent, preferably within DPR’s core markets. A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
Physical RequirementsContinual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting and carrying; prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; travel to and from the office and assigned job sites.
