ANDRITZ is looking for an experienced Project Site Manager with Hydropower or Industrial Construction site experience. This long‑term role will be site‑specific to support dynamic customers. The Site Manager will be on site throughout the project, directing installation work, ensuring safety, and overseeing daily operations until field tests are completed.
Responsibilities- Hire and manage site labor and subcontractors.
- Track labor hours and manage site costs and inventories.
- Serve as primary contact with the union dispatcher when applicable.
- Supervise the site team and manage the site schedule, providing feedback to the project manager.
- Oversee health, safety and environmental matters.
- Prepare site logs using ANDRITZ tools and procedures.
- Conduct daily “toolbox” meetings.
- Complete punch‑list items.
- Manage customer relations on site.
- Handle claims and change orders, maintaining documentation of site conditions.
- Ensure adherence to customer and ANDRITZ requirements.
- Assist in controlling project costs, cost recovery (claims) and project execution.
- Report project status to in‑office project managers.
- Report problems and required actions to management.
- Produce periodic status reports.
- Minimum of 5 years of turbine and generator field work experience.
- Experience on large, complex construction projects.
- Proven experience with steel structures, welding, and masonry.
- Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations, quality plans, and general construction practices.
- Leadership experience, effective communication, and client‑relationship management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
- Claims‑management experience is a plus.
- OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certification.
- Construction quality management course certification (e.g., Naval Facilities Engineering Command or Army Corps of Engineers).
- Knowledge of OSHA and ISO standards.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and contract requirements.
- Ability to identify non‑conformances and organize work.
- Experience using LMS, QCS, and other site‑related software.
- Fluent spoken and written English.
- Willingness to travel and live extended periods away from home.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
