Mechanical Estimator

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality HVAC and mechanical construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys estimating complex projects, working closely with project teams, and helping drive successful project execution from preconstruction through handoff.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed HVAC and mechanical construction estimates.
  • Develop accurate quantity takeoffs from construction drawings and specifications.
  • Review vendor and subcontractor proposals and evaluate pricing.
  • Develop bid packages and scopes of work for subcontractors.
  • Coordinate equipment selection, pricing, and procurement.
  • Prepare equipment submittals and project documentation.
  • Assist Project Managers and leadership with technical estimating support.
  • Review construction plans, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to develop cost-effective project solutions.
  • Prepare and review project proposals, pricing, and bid documents.
  • Support contract review and project handoff following award.
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling during the preconstruction phase.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of HVAC or mechanical construction experience (10+ years preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of mechanical estimating experience.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and mechanical construction.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Experience performing quantity takeoffs and preparing competitive bids.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
