Position Overview:
We are looking for an Estimator, Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager who will play a critical role in preconstruction by supporting cost planning, budgeting, and bid execution across our diverse portfolio of multifamily projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our development, design, and construction teams to ensure accurate and competitive project pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed conceptual and hard bid estimates for multifamily construction projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to develop comprehensive cost projections
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals
- Participate in value engineering efforts and provide cost saving recommendations
- Track market trends and pricing to maintain competitive positioning
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support project feasibility and financial underwriting
- Present estimates and cost analyses to senior leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 5+ recent years of experience in estimating or precon for multifamily type projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents with a high level of accuracy
- Prioritize excellent analytical and communication skills
- Prefer proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office tools
