Senior Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Senior
Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for grading, underground utility, earthwork, and site development projects. The ideal candidate will analyze project plans and specifications, perform quantity takeoffs, develop detailed estimates, and collaborate with project teams to deliver successful bids. This role also supports continuous improvement through the use of industry-leading estimating and construction technology.

• Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for grading, excavation, underground utilities, erosion control, paving, and site development projects.
• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and project documents.
• Develop competitive bid proposals, including subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Evaluate project risks, production rates, constructability, and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, field teams, accounting, and leadership throughout the bidding and project handoff process.
• Utilize estimating and modeling software including B2W Estimate, AGTEK, Trimble Business Center (TBC), and ERP systems.
• Maintain accurate estimating records, historical cost data, and project documentation.
• Support process improvements, technology adoption, and standardized estimating practices.

• 2–5 years of construction estimating experience, preferably in heavy civil, grading, underground utilities, or site development.
• Strong ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, and geotechnical reports.
• Experience with B2W Estimate, AGTEK, Trimble Business Center (TBC), Civil 3D, or similar estimating/modeling software preferred.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista ERP or comparable construction ERP software is a plus.
• Knowledge of grading operations, earthwork calculations, underground utility construction, and construction methods.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver s license with an acceptable driving record.
