Labor Foreman
Skillforce has teamed up with a construction leader to find a skilled Labor Foreman to work on a project in Charlotte, NC.
This is a full-time, direct hire position with this contractor.
Labor Foreman Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $30-$35/hr
- Background check, drug screen, and MVR required
- Healthcare, pension, etc.

Labor Foreman Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct labor crews in the execution of daily construction activities.
- Plan work assignments and coordinate manpower to support project schedules and operational goals.
- Enforce company safety programs, OSHA regulations, and site-specific requirements.
- Communicate project expectations, priorities, and work instructions to field personnel.
- Monitor jobsite conditions and work performance to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct routine inspections of work areas, tools, and equipment to maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Track and maintain records related to labor hours, production quantities, and daily field activities.
- Work closely with superintendents, project managers, subcontractors, and other field supervisors to support project progress.
- Coach, train, and develop crew members while promoting teamwork and professional growth.
- Oversee the proper use and care of materials, tools, and equipment to minimize waste and downtime.
- Address field challenges proactively and implement solutions to prevent schedule impacts or safety concerns.
Labor Foreman Qualifications
- Minimum of three years of construction field experience, including at least one year in a crew leadership, lead worker, or supervisory capacity.
- Solid understanding of construction practices, jobsite procedures, and equipment operation.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical specifications.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Capable of bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting while wearing required tools and personal protective equipment.
- Ability to remain on foot for extended periods while performing repetitive physical activities.
- Strong leadership, planning, and decision-making abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to perform duties outdoors in varying weather conditions and participate in physically demanding tasks when required.
