Pay: $80k - $120k, based on experience and demonstrated skills.

Summary

Responsible for providing leadership and developing the career of our field employees and promoting our core values. The Service Manager leads the local branch operation, sells work, strives to grow operations, and maintains a positive customer experience. The Service Manager also manages general construction duties—estimation, project management of service jobs, scheduling, paperwork, and communication—and oversees every job from purchase order receipt through final completion and billing.

Teamcraft Service Managers should adhere to all OSHA and Teamcraft Safety demands and provide their employees with all necessary safety items and direction to complete tasks safely and responsibly.

Mission and Key Performance Targets
  • Lead the local operation with a target minimum of 10 roof techs
  • Maintain a disciplined approach to safety:
    • Specify a safety plan on all jobsites in advance of job start
    • Incorporate a safety inspection whenever conducting jobsite visits
  • Meet financial metrics—target a minimum 20% net income
  • Meet quality control (QC) standards as set by the Company
  • Establish career paths with all branch employees, to be reviewed quarterly
  • Refrain from any side work unless specifically approved in advance by the Service Director
  • Maintain a legal, drug‑free workplace
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Company Roofing Safety Policies
  • Evaluate multiple types of both low slope and steep slope roofing
  • Diagnose problems on roofs and provide solutions
  • Manage customer relations and build/maintain a positive customer base; actively sell work
  • Hire and train employees; conduct employee evaluations
  • Read drawings and specifications
  • Estimate work and perform job cost analysis
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Climb stairways and ladders; work on potentially unsafe or hazardous roofs and structures
  • Work with hazardous materials including solvents, bottled gas, asphalt products and pitch
  • Maintain dispatch board in the Company’s field management system (e.g., Centerpoint/FCS) and ensure work orders are closed within 30 days of dispatch
  • Comply with all weekly reporting requirements
  • Approximately 60% statewide travel is required
Detailed Scope of Work
  • Weekly Meetings with Your Team
    • Scrub timesheets and submit via email
    • Conduct Toolbox Talks and submit via email
    • Review information daily/weekly with your crew
  • Field Management System
    • Review and correct work orders (add photos, materials, written descriptions)
    • Complete Daily Reports for all 500‑series jobs
    • Complete inspections, both from phone and laptop
    • Set up properties/outlines (excluding billing notes)
  • Estimates/Proposals
    • Compose a through Scope of Work for estimating
    • Complete accurate estimates
    • Prepare a written Proposal/Master Service Agreement (MSA)
    • Complete Change Orders with an updated Scope of Work and Estimate/Proposal
  • Email & Communication
    • Construct clear, professional emails with appropriate attachments
    • Remain vigilant and responsive to all emails, texts, and calls—timely response is required
  • Job Management (Start to Finish)
    • Set up jobs immediately upon receipt of a Purchase Order
    • Build a complete job schedule
    • Order materials
    • Confirm labor assignments
    • Arrange accommodations and equipment for jobs as needed
    • Track job progress via Manning Reports‑in‑progress billing (in Acumatica)
