Construction Manager/ Foreman
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for complex commercial and institutional construction projects. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing projects with significant MEP scope and understands the coordination required to successfully deliver technically challenging facilities.
About the RoleThis role is responsible for overall field management, including safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, inspections, and project delivery. The Superintendent serves as the primary onsite leader, driving collaboration between trades, design teams, and ownership while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and enforce a strong safety culture and OSHA compliance.
- Direct all onsite construction activities from mobilization through closeout.
- Coordinate and supervise all subcontractors, with a strong emphasis on MEP trade sequencing and integration.
- Oversee installation and coordination of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.
- Lead coordination efforts to resolve field conflicts between structural, architectural, and MEP systems.
- Manage inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and turnover of building systems.
- Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules focused on critical path and MEP milestones.
- Monitor project progress and implement recovery plans when necessary.
- Ensure work complies with contract documents, specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, documentation, and field records.
- Lead punch list completion, system startup, and project closeout.
- Mentor Assistant Superintendents and field personnel.
- 7+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial, institutional, healthcare, higher education, data center, laboratory, or other technically complex projects.
- Strong background managing projects with significant MEP systems and coordination requirements.
- Experience overseeing projects ranging from $20 million to $100+ million.
- Demonstrated success coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and low‑voltage trades.
- Strong understanding of commissioning, building systems startup, and turnover processes.
- Proficiency with Procore and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
The ideal candidate is a hands‑on field leader with exceptional MEP coordination experience who understands that successful projects are built through planning, sequencing, and proactive communication. Candidates should have a stable work history, a proven ability to lead multidisciplinary trade teams, and experience delivering technically demanding commercial or institutional projects. Individuals with a strong background coordinating complex building systems and driving projects through commissioning and owner turnover are especially desired.
