Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is a leading privately held owner of office, industrial, and mixed-use properties throughout the Carolinas. Supported by a fully integrated commercial real estate platform and a highly experienced execution team, the company has invested more than $2.80 billion in real estate projects and developed or acquired over 30+ million square feet of space.

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join its growing Charlotte team and lead all phases of commercial real estate development projects, including office, mixed-use, multifamily, hospitality, and industrial assets. This high-impact role oversees projects from feasibility and due diligence through design, preconstruction, construction, and closeout, while also supporting acquisitions, tenant improvements, and capital projects across the existing portfolio.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong technical expertise, project management experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget. Vertical, commercial high-rise experience is strongly preferred.

Key Points:

  • Lead all phases of development and construction projects from due diligence through project closeout.
  • Manage land feasibility efforts including zoning, permitting, utilities, environmental reviews, and conceptual budgeting.
  • Oversee preconstruction planning, contractor/vendor selection, bid analysis, budgeting, and value engineering.
  • Drive construction execution by managing schedules, budgets, meetings, change orders, and project quality.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, contractors, utility providers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Requires strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred with 8–10 years of relevant development or construction management experience.
