Traveling Glazing Field Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Glazing Field Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial glazing projects across multiple job sites. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and the ability to manage crews and project execution while traveling as needed. The superintendent will ensure that installations meet quality, safety, and schedule expectations.

Project Leadership and Execution
  • Supervise glazing crews on commercial and industrial job sites.
  • Coordinate daily field activities and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
  • Oversee installation of curtain wall, storefront, window systems, entrances, glass panels, and specialty glazing products.
Quality and Safety Oversight
  • Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Conduct site inspections for quality control and compliance.
  • Identify and resolve installation issues in the field.
Coordination and Communication
  • Serve as the on site liaison between project managers, general contractors, vendors, and field crews.
  • Provide regular progress updates and participate in project meetings.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, and manpower scheduling.
Travel and Logistics
  • Travel frequently to job sites across the region or country.
  • Manage on site logistics including staging, sequencing, and site readiness.
Qualifications Required
  • 5 or more years of glazing installation experience, including curtain wall and commercial systems.
  • 2 or more years in a supervisory or lead installer role.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and glazing best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and shop drawings.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work on site for extended periods.
Preferred
  • Experience with large scale commercial projects.
  • Familiarity with project management software and digital reporting tools.
  • OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training.
