Role Description The Construction Manager is a full-time hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC, with a mix of on-site project oversight and work-from-home responsibilities. This role oversees day-to-day construction activities, including coordinating crews and subcontractors, scheduling work, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety regulations. The Construction Manager will develop and track project plans, manage budgets and cost controls, review drawings and specifications, and resolve issues that may impact timelines or costs.
The role involves regular site visits, inspections, and reporting, as well as close collaboration with clients, designers, and internal leadership to align project outcomes with expectations. The Construction Manager will also contribute to process improvements, documentation, and vendor relationships to support efficient project delivery.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills, including team leadership, coordination of subcontractors, and performance management.
- Canididates should posses experience with flooring construction and flooring negotiations
- Candidates should possess experience in Budgeting and Project Control to plan, monitor, and adjust costs, schedules, and resources effectively.
- Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Construction and Construction Safety practices, including compliance with building codes, OSHA requirements, and company policies.
- Candidates should possess strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
- Relevant experience as a Construction Manager, Superintendent, or similar role in residential or commercial projects is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with project management and construction software (e.g., scheduling tools, digital documentation) and strong organizational skills are preferred.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is advantageous.
- Ability to travel to and work at job sites in the Charlotte, NC area and to meet physical demands typical of construction environments.
