Traveling Electrical Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Traveling Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on some of the nation's most challenging and high-profile projects.
The Traveling Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all electrical construction activities on assigned projects, ensuring safe, productive, and high-quality execution from preconstruction through commissioning. This role provides field leadership to project teams, coordinates manpower, subcontractors, and vendors, and ensures projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing electrical installations on hyperscale data centers, mission-critical facilities, and/or large industrial construction projects and be comfortable traveling extensively to project locations throughout the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all electrical field operations on assigned projects.
- Direct and supervise foremen, field engineers, and electrical craft personnel.
- Develop and execute project site logistics, construction sequencing, and installation strategies.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with project specifications, contract documents, company standards, and applicable codes.
- Drive field productivity and continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, VDC/BIM teams, General Superintendents, and clients to develop execution plans.
- Participate in preconstruction activities, constructability reviews, and schedule development.
- Coordinate activities with general contractors, owners, trade partners, and commissioning teams.
- Manage manpower forecasting, workforce planning, and labor allocations.
- Identify and proactively resolve field conflicts and schedule impacts.
- Promote and enforce a world-class safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations, site-specific requirements, and company safety programs.
- Lead daily huddles, toolbox talks, safety audits, and incident prevention initiatives.
- Mentor field personnel and hold teams accountable to safety expectations.
- Ensure installations meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Drive completion of inspections, testing, startup, turnover, and commissioning activities.
- Coordinate punch list completion and project closeout requirements.
- Verify that documentation, as-builts, and turnover packages are completed accurately.
- Serve as the primary field representative for the company.
- Build strong working relationships with owners, GCs, trade partners, and inspectors.
- Mentor and develop foremen and emerging field leaders.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- 8+ years of electrical construction experience, including 3+ years in a Superintendent or Senior Foreman leadership role.
- Proven experience leading large-scale electrical construction projects valued at $20M+.
- Experience on one or more of the following:
- Hyperscale Data Centers
- Mission Critical Facilities
- Advanced Manufacturing Facilities
- Industrial Processing Facilities
- Semiconductor or Technology Facilities
- Distribution and Logistics Facilities
