About the Opportunity

A well-established General Contractor based in North Carolina is looking for an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team and lead a large-scale ground-up K-12 project in Charlotte, NC
.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Superintendent with a strong background in K-12 construction who is comfortable taking ownership of a major project and coordinating subcontractors, trades, schedules, safety, and quality from the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day field operations on a large-scale ground-up K-12 project.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and onsite trade partners.
  • Manage project schedules and ensure milestones are met.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship.
  • Coordinate inspections, deliveries, site logistics, and sequencing.
  • Conduct regular site meetings and communicate progress with the Project Manager and leadership team.
  • Enforce all site safety requirements and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Review plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve field issues quickly and effectively.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent.
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Ability to take ownership of a major project and drive it through successful completion.

$125,000 – $150,000 base salary
, depending on experience.

The position also offers a comprehensive benefits package and the opportunity to work with an established North Carolina General Contractor on a significant K-12 project in the Charlotte market.
