We are seeking a professional and dependable Patient Services Representative to support a Patient Assistance Program (PAP). In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, providing assistance with program inquiries, enrollment, application status, and prescription shipment updates.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others, communicates with empathy and professionalism, and is comfortable working in a high-volume call center environment. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple tasks and assisting patients with professionalism and care.
Key Responsibilities- Handle a high volume of inbound calls from patients and healthcare providers.
- Provide accurate information regarding program enrollment, application status, and prescription shipments.
- Guide patients through the enrollment process and answer program-related questions.
- Navigate internal systems, call center software, and a proprietary patient portal.
- Complete training and shadow experienced team members before transitioning to independent call handling.
- Process applications and supporting documentation, including faxed materials, during periods of lower call volume.
- Accurately document patient interactions and maintain detailed records.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve patient and provider inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain productivity, accuracy, and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous customer service experience; call center, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or patient support experience is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to learn and navigate multiple computer systems and software platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a high-volume environment.
- Professional communication skills and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently after training while contributing positively to a team environment.
