A well-established and growing multidisciplinary Architecture & Engineering firm is seeking a Senior Healthcare Architect to join its expanding healthcare practice. This is a high‑impact leadership opportunity for an experienced architect with extensive healthcare project expertise who enjoys mentoring teams, collaborating with clients, and guiding complex projects from planning and design through construction.

Responsibilities
  • Lead healthcare project teams with a collaborative and solutions‑oriented approach, fostering innovation, accountability, and project success
  • Plan, design, and oversee healthcare facility projects including hospitals, outpatient clinics, ambulatory care centers, medical office buildings, and renovation projects
  • Consult with healthcare clients and stakeholders to identify operational, spatial, workflow, and functional requirements
  • Analyze programmatic needs, departmental adjacencies, and patient‑care workflows to develop effective healthcare design solutions
  • Research and interpret building codes, healthcare regulations, zoning requirements, and industry standards
  • Develop design concepts, material selections, technical solutions, outline specifications, and preliminary construction budgets
  • Prepare and oversee architectural drawings, construction documents, and project specifications using Revit and related technologies
  • Coordinate architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty engineering disciplines throughout all project phases
  • Manage project schedules, staffing, budgets, quality control, and client expectations
  • Attend and lead internal project meetings, client meetings, and consultant coordination sessions
  • Oversee construction administration activities including RFIs, submittals, shop drawing reviews, bidding support, and field observations
  • Identify and resolve constructability issues while maintaining design intent and project objectives
  • Provide ongoing communication through project meetings, reports, minutes, and team coordination efforts
  • Mentor junior architects and designers, providing technical guidance, professional development support, and career coaching
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
  • Healthcare project experience is required
  • Bachelor of Architecture (5‑year professional degree) from an accredited program
  • Minimum 15 years of experience within the Architecture/Engineering industry
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a licensed Architect
  • Strong mentoring and staff development background
  • NCARB Certification required
  • Demonstrated experience leading healthcare facility projects from planning through construction
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare planning, design standards, building codes, and project delivery methods
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, client management, and project coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously

Compensation will be commensurate with experience, licensure, healthcare project expertise, and leadership background.
