Position Overview
We are seeking an Interior Designer / Revit Designer to support the development and execution of interior design projects from initial concept through construction. This individual will assist with design concepts, drawings, renderings, presentations, material selections, space planning, documentation, and construction administration while collaborating with architects, designers, engineers, clients, and other project stakeholders.
The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, collaborative, and able to balance design vision with the practical constructability of their work.
Key Responsibilities
- Support interior design projects under the guidance of senior design leadership
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, and other project team members throughout the design and construction process
- Assist with finish, furniture, and lighting selections, space planning, concept research, design development, documentation, and construction administration
- Develop drawings and design documentation using Revit and AutoCAD
- Create sketches and drawings while verifying dimensions, materials, relationships between components, and overall design intent
- Produce renderings, color boards, presentations, and other design materials using InDesign, Enscape, and Photoshop
- Apply knowledge of casework, millwork, finishes, furniture, and equipment to interior design solutions
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, architects, engineers, and internal project teams to support successful project delivery
- Meet with finish, furniture, and material representatives and assist with maintaining the materials library
- Research new products, materials, finishes, furniture, and design systems
- Contribute to the development and improvement of design department processes and organizational systems
- Maintain consistent and professional communication with clients, project teams, consultants, and leadership
Qualifications
- 2–4 years of professional interior design experience
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with InDesign, Enscape, and Photoshop
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- General knowledge of casework, millwork, finishes, furniture, and equipment
- Strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams
- IIDA membership preferred
- Working toward NCIDQ certification preferred
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work in an open-office, collaborative environment
- Must be able to successfully complete a background check
