Postdoctoral Research Fellow
The Niels Bohr Institute (NBI) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in Theoretical High Energy Physics/Mathematical Physics. The appointment is for a period of three years, starting in the Fall of 2026.
The Villum Investigator Group “Quantum Quenches from Quantum Fields” at the Niels Bohr International Academy at the Niels Bohr Institute has an opening for a postdoc position starting in the Fall of 2026. The group works on themes at the interface between theoretical high energy physics, condensed matter physics and quantum information theory.
The candidate
The successful candidate must hold a PhD degree in theoretical high energy physics and have a strong background in quantum field theory, the AdS/CFT correspondence, and preferably condensed matter physics and quantum information theory as well. Knowledge of and working experience with modern exact methods such as AdS/CFT integrability, conformal bootstrap or localization will be considered an advantage.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
