Overview
Alpha is transforming the traditional school experience. Our students don't spend their days in lectures—they advance through adaptive learning platforms, achieve mastery at twice the typical pace, and develop essential life skills in the process. Your role is to ensure that our "3 Promises" are delivered to every student in your cohort and to develop our Guides so they can deliver the same outcomes.
Responsibilities- Coaching and upskilling Guides to deliver Alpha's workshops at a world-class standard
- Developing comprehensive Guide Playbooks that document facilitation best practices, design of engaging learning experiences, and strategies for overcoming obstacles
- Delivering consistent, practical feedback to Guides to increase student participation and performance
- Personally coaching a small student cohort to demonstrate exemplary motivational and mentoring techniques
- Creating curriculum content – Guides support students who learn via adaptive technology; your role is developing Guides into outstanding motivators
- Compromising on excellence – when our mastery standard is 100%, your job is to uphold that expectation
- Running dull professional development – you'll develop Guides through dynamic, interactive, and energizing training experiences
Key Responsibilities
Develop Guides and mentor students to ensure every learner in your cohort enjoys school, achieves learning at 2× velocity, and develops essential life skills. Zero exceptions.
Basic Requirements- Currently based in or ready to relocate for on-site work at one of the Alpha campuses (Bethesda, MD; Chicago, IL; Palo Alto, CA; Piedmont, CA)
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, or related area.
- Proven track record creating and executing innovative educational programs, curricula, or training solutions.
- Excellent leadership and coaching capabilities with experience building, managing, and inspiring high-performing teams.
- Background working with young people (ages 5-18) in educational or developmental settings.
- Skilled in data analysis and leveraging performance metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Authorized to work legally in the United States.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $100 USD/hour, which equates to $200,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
