About the Role
As a crucial member of our team, the role of Director is multifaceted and pivotal to the success of our organization. You will be responsible for overseeing the day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering a nurturing environment for both children and staff. From supervising staff and implementing engaging activities to maintaining records and managing budgets, this role offers an opportunity to make a profound impact on the lives of children and their families.

- Employment and supervision of staff, including verifying references.
- Assist teachers in implementing weekly activities and maintaining a safe environment.
- Facilitate communication with parents and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with NC Daycare rules and regulations.
- Ensure business is compliant with state and federal labor laws.
- Ensure building remains in compliance with NC regulations.
- Maintain children's and staff records.
- Conduct fire evaluations monthly.
- Oversee playground safety inspections and paperwork.
- Manage curricula compliance and procurement of materials.
- Support staff through training and professional development.
- Handle budget, accounts, marketing, and parent communication.
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Must be a level 3 or 4 Director in the State of NC
- Training in early childhood education from an accredited school.
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with at least twelve credit hours in early childhood education.
- Eligibility to work with children in the state of North Carolina based on a criminal background check.
- Possess the North Carolina Early Childhood Administration Credential or its equivalent as determined by the Department of Health and Human Services.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience.
- 2+ years of experience in childcare and child development.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and integrate various components of childcare programs.
