Adjunct/Part‑Time Faculty; BISOM

Position:
Adjunct/Part‑Time Faculty in BISOM, College of Business (Col), Business Information Systems/Operations. Temporary – part‑time. Work schedule and hours vary by course and semester. No benefits accrue.

Minimum Experience and Education
  • Faculty teaching undergraduate courses: doctorate or master’s degree in the teaching discipline or master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline.
  • Faculty teaching graduate courses: earned doctorate/terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
  • UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the highest earned degree.
  • Additional considerations include competence, effectiveness, capacity, related work experience, professional licensure/certifications, honors, awards, documented excellence in teaching.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and/or update course syllabus.
  • Prepare lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
  • Meet all designated class periods.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
  • Submit mid‑semester progress reports and final grades per university regulations.
Additional Requirements

Finalists will be subject to a criminal background check and must provide an official transcript of their highest earned degree and three letters of recommendation.
