The Full-time Library Assistant delivers a high level of quality libraryservices ensuring the provision of value-added experiences for all customer sand performs routine tasks in support of the library.

ScheduleFull Time Benefit Eligible, Will be 40 hours per week
Mondays
11:00am – 8:00pm
Tuesdays
- Thursdays, Alternating Fridays and Saturdays 8:00am – 5:00pm
Fridaysand Saturdays (alternate weekly) 8:00am – 5:00pm
Essential Functions- Promote the library’s collection and services
- Performcirculation activities
- Provideservice desk coverage
- Providematerials to appropriate bins for transfer
- Providesresearch assistance to customers
- Utilizeintegrated library systems software
- Assisting customers at several service points
- Training and assisting customers on various library policies, procedures, and processes
- Collaborating with Librarians to deliver programming and outreach services
- Assisting with volunteer management
- Performshelving and weeding duties
- Experience:
Minimumof one year of customer service experience including library or retail. - Education:
High School diploma or equivalent - Combination of relevant education and relevant experience accepted? Yes
- Experience working with teens/young adults
Knowledge of integrated library systems software (IE: Polaris) - Bilingual

- Proficient in various computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
