Description

Under the supervision of the Teen Innovation Lab Program Supervisor and consistent with the mission of the YMCA, the Pathway Program Specialist will provide leadership and operational support to their specialized pathway within the Teen Innovation Lab at McCrorey YMCA.

Essential

Functions
  • Oversee implementation of the Teen Innovation Lab to ensure that sites meet fidelity markers and goals
  • Provide support and coaching for site administrators and site leaders
  • Provide administrative support and thought partnership to the Teen Innovation Lab team
  • Support site administrators and site leaders to complete required duties and ensure deadlines are met
  • Assist with facilitating student recruitment events and strategies to ensure enrollment goals are met
  • Facilitate staff program trainings and track training requirements for assigned site staff
  • Conduct literacy observations in conjunction with site administrators and provide feedback and coaching to achieve high quality literacy instruction
  • Conduct program area observations in conjunction with site administrators and provide feedback and coaching related to areas of improvement
  • Monitor the daily operations of assigned program sites to ensure quality standards and procedures are followed
  • Provide technical support and oversight to ensure data is collected and reported in a timely and accurate manner
Required Qualifications

All YMCA team members are expected to maintain a current and active status for all safety, risk, and programming certifications defined by the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Develop and maintain engaging, age-appropriate content that introduces students to healthcare and/or technology careers.
  • Create career exploration resources, including videos, articles, career profiles, lesson plans, digital activities, and interactive learning experiences with the support of the Program Supervisor.
  • Research emerging healthcare careers, workforce trends, and innovative technologies to ensure content remains current and relevant.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, employers, and community partners to develop authentic career exploration experiences.
