UNC Charlotte is hiring an International Student and Scholar Advisor in the International Student and Scholar Office. This permanent full-time role supports institutional immigration compliance and educational outreach for international students and scholars. The advisor serves as a Designated School Official for the F-1 visa program, advises students on immigration, cultural, personal, and financial matters, manages F-1 and J-1 records for reporting compliance, assists with immigration applications and STEM OPT processing, maintains I-983 records, and develops web resources.
The position also creates and assesses educational programs, supports orientations and cross-cultural programs, collaborates with campus partners, helps maintain systems such as Banner and ISSS software, and assists with Terra Dotta Systems transition and Charlotte Global events. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in international student and scholar advising, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
